John Handley High School's Math department is a group dedicated to nurturing students' critical thinking and problem solving skills.
As a freshman, students have four course options. Algebra 1 Part 1/Part 2 (two semesters), Algebra 1 (one semester), Geometry (one semester), and Honors Geometry (one semester). All courses have the goal of freshmen achieving proficiency on their Mathematics Standards of Learning (SOL).
The AP courses offered by the Math department build the expectations of collegiate level mathematics courses.
