Ms. Badman was recognized as the Air Force Association STEM Teacher of the Year as well as a Senior Chapel Graduation Speaker, and was part of the leadership team responsible for instructional program and educational design for the new Emil & Grace Shihadeh Innovation Center. Ms. Badman first started at John Handley High School as an Earth and Space Science Teacher and then took on the Department Chair responsibilities. Most recently, her role has been that of Instructional Supervisor of Secondary Math and Science.

Ms. Bohannan grew up in Florida, but has lived in Virginia since 1996. She served in Fauquier County as a Special Education teacher, Alternative Education teacher, History, English, Reading, and Geography teacher, where she held positions as department chair, team leader, and Admin Intern.

Dawn Spitzer

Ms. Spitzer began her teaching career at Boonsboro Middle School in 2009. In 2013, she accepted a teaching position at Boonsboro High School. Throughout her time there, she was the Student Government Advisor and a member of the School Improvement and School Safety teams. After moving to Virginia to be close to family, Ms. Spitzer accepted a teaching position at Millbrook High School. In 2021, Ms. Spitzer accepted the position of Instructional Coach at John Handley High School where she led a variety of instructional initiatives, facilitated the Instructional Leadership Team, and served as the New Teacher Lead Mentor. In the 2024-25 school year, Ms. Spitzer served as the Coordinator of Judges IX. Ms. Spitzer became an assistant principal for John Handley High School in 2025.
