Handley Parking Permit

Students are permitted to park on school premises as a matter of privilege, not of right. If students are going to be driving to school and parking in the Handley parking lot, they must obtain a parking permit. Below you will find instructions on how students need to register their vehicles and obtain a parking permit.

• Step one - Open the Student Parking Pass Application (English Version / Spanish Version).

  • If you do not have access to the internet or a printer, you may come to the main office to pick up a copy of the parking application in the main office

• Step two - Print off and complete the High School Student Parking Pass Application with all the needed information. 

• Step three - Bring the completed parking application to school at any time during school business hours.

  • Go to the main office to pay the $25 parking fee or pay online using School Cash.

  • Take the receipt and completed parking application to the main office, and one of the administrative assistants will assign the student a parking space and give you a parking permit pass. 

• Step four - Hang the parking permit from their rearview mirror.

  • The parking permit must be visible when parked in the JHHS lot.

  • The parking permit will have a number on it. That number is your assigned spot for the year. 

• Step five - When operating their motor vehicle, remove the parking permit from their rear view mirror - Only hang the permit on the rearview mirror when your car is parked in the JHHS/EGSIC lot. They should not drive with the permit hanging from their rearview mirror.

Students must park in their assigned spot during school hours. If they fail to park in their spot, break any parking lot rules, and/or are chronically late to school, they may lose their privilege to park in the lot and anywhere on school property. If their car receives more than 3 parking notices, their car will be towed at their own expense.  

 

Parking Notices Procedures:

• Parking notices will be placed on cars by a staff member

• The staff will document the car type and license plate number on a Google spreadsheet.

• Once a car has reached its 4th notice, it will be towed at the owner's expense
